Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Major Tasks And Responsibilities

• Comply with HSE policies and procedures to ensure tasks are completed under safe conditions.
• Complete all trainings assigned to maintain understanding of such requirements.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance plans to complete tasks according to schedule.
• Work in compliance with all required safe work permits, including Hot Work, Line Breaking, Lockout/Tagout (HECP), and Confined Space entry.
• Execute preventive maintenance plan according to the SAP information to ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are executed in a safe and high-quality manner.
• Report any anomalies found during preventive maintenance activities to ensure issues are addressed.
• Support the Mechanical Integrity Program by documenting inspections, tests, and PM activities per plant standards.
• Complete related corrective maintenance jobs in a timely manner to maintain operations.
• Carry out patrols and report any abnormal findings to settle troubleshooting promptly.
• Use and maintain all tools in proper condition for tool maintenance.

Basic Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or Vocational school with major/focus in mechanical, pipefitting or PCT.
• 5+ years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance role in a manufacturing plant.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of: Pump repair, pipe fitting, and valve installation/repair.
• Mechanical and packed seals.
• Rotary equipment shaft alignment.
• Blueprint and P&ID reading.
• Pneumatics and/or hydraulics.
• Safe Work Permit Processes.
