Major Responsibilities
- Maintains daily maintenance activities ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Ensures timely job completion as per RBWS; monitors area backlog, notifications, and work orders in SAP.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for equipment and repair methods.
- Supports planning, maintenance execution organization, and asset owners.
- Evaluates equipment failures and provides information to Asset Engineers for defect elimination activities.
- Takes corrective actions for maintenance process-related failures.
- Produces monthly reports on major jobs and repairs, including costs, achievements, and safety incidents.
- Collaborates with Asset Engineers to improve asset performance through continuous learning and strategy optimization.
- Works closely with Asset Engineers to enhance asset performance through strategic optimization.
- Makes decisions with designated assignments, producing anticipated results aligned with business or technical goals with supervision.
- Show proven competency in applying and making decisions in relevant work processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree with at least 3 years’ experience OR Master’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree with at least 2 years’ experience.
- The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Maturing knowledge of rotating and static equipment used in chemical processing.
- Maturing analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of different troubleshooting methodologies.
- Understanding of general Maintenance Procedures/Work processes (i.e. Planning, Scheduling, Execution).
- Working knowledge of repair methods and techniques, and best practices (including but not limited to vessel and pipe repair, pump maintenance, lifting techniques, and welding).
- Developing skills in work planning and management for work involving industrial chemicals (i.e. Phosgene, CO, Cl2, and NH3.).
- Ability to ensure application and compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures while performing engineering activities.
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be a productive member of a team.
