About the role
Carter Caves State Resort Park is seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join our maintenance team as a full-time Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Technician I.
Responsibilities
- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of heating and air-conditioning systems, refrigeration and ventilation equipment, electrical systems, plumbing and sewer systems, and other mechanical equipment throughout the park
- Assisting contractors
- Monitoring equipment performance
- Completing repair and inspection records
- Responding to emergency maintenance needs
- Performing other assigned duties

Qualifications
Education: None
Experience, Training, or Skills: Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
Substitute Education for Experience: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Special Requirements: Must be 18 years of age.
Pay & Schedule
Pay Grade 11, $16.65 - $24.98 hourly. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, eligible for overtime pay. May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day. Initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months.
