About the role

The Mechanical Machine Assembler precisely assembles mechanical components and systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, pieces, and products using tools and equipment according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
• Use equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts, including electrical wiring tasks such as connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
• Report incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
• Record daily production and maintain production quotas on Duro Dyne forms.
• Maintain records of assembly activities, documenting modifications, defects, or adjustments.
• Load raw materials as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues during the assembly process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Read, write, and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams in English.
• Use wire cutters, crimpers, screwdrivers, electric drills, and electrical wire soldering tools.
• Work 10-hour days, 4 days a week, with overtime as required.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.

Physical Requirements

• Good physical condition with strong eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. routinely.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or bend for extended periods.
• Use feet or legs to operate machinery controls (pedals, buttons, levers, cranks).
• Hold, grasp, turn, or work with hands, including using tools like pliers.

Pay

Starting pay range: $17.00–$22.00/hour, based on geography, skills, education, and experience. Overtime eligible for hours worked beyond 40 per week.
