About the role

As a Rotor Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you’ll dive into the heart of gas turbine design using everything from quick-hit, low-fi solutions to full-on 3D FEM and advanced fracture mechanics to crack complex challenges. No two days are the same: one day you’re conceiving bold new designs, the next you’re validating them in real-world testing. You’ll collaborate with a global crew of experts across materials, manufacturing, and whole-engine systems balancing performance, durability, and cost to bring next-gen tech to life.

Responsibilities

  • Own design and integrity of critical rotor & compressor components using 1D, 2D, and 3D analysis to push performance and extend life
  • Level up the toolkit: build smarter structural design methods and bring new analytical approaches to life
  • Analyze test results, field measurements, and fleet feedback to drive real improvements
  • Deliver fast, focused solutions to manufacturing challenges and customer needs
  • Guide teams through high-stakes technical challenges and bold engineering decisions
  • Own R&D efforts, partner with external experts, and manage outsourced projects to get cutting-edge ideas across the finish line

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 8-10+ years design, structural analysis, mechanical integrity assessments, risk analysis and fracture mechanics. More years of experience may be considered at a higher level
  • Rotating components in turbo-machinery or similar, with strong expertise in mechanical integrity
  • Computational methods, including FEA using NX Simcenter, ANSYS, or similar
  • Programming experience (e.g., Python) to automate workflows and process data
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills able to work across diverse teams and cultures, a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative mindset, and a strong sense of ownership and commitment

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to applicable export control laws and regulations
