About the role

BAE System is looking for a precision mechanical inspector to join our group in Nashua and Hudson, NH. The new hire will be exposed to different measuring tools and expected to learn how to use them to perform daily job requirements. Examples include CMMS, Vision Machines, and Optical Comparators. This position is 1st shift (Monday - Thursday) with a 6 AM start.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect using GD&T
  • Use inspection equipment (CMMs, height gages, optical CMMs, and optical comparators)
  • Review and verify documentation to drawing and purchase order specifications

Requirements

  • High School / GED or Trade School education and 1 year of related experience
  • Knowledge and ability to inspect using GD&T
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment (CMMs, height gages, optical CMMs, and optical comparator)

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical inspection or related machining experience
  • Solid background/experience in mechanical inspection and drawing interpretation per ANSI.Y14.5
  • PWB inspection experience
  • Active IPC 600, 610, 620 certification
  • Ability to inspect with hand tools (e.g., calipers and micrometers)
  • Familiarity with and ability to inspect using a CMM, height gage, and optical CMMs

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $46,680 - $74,687. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
