Mechanical & Industrial Solutions Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management: Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted industries (manufacturing, healthcare, industrial, public, energy, etc.). Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure solutions meet customer specifications.
Sales & Customer Solutions: Promote and sell mechanical systems, components, and industrial solutions (e.g., piping, HVAC, automation, machinery, fluid handling systems). Analyze customer needs and recommend customized solutions. Prepare and deliver/coordinate technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations. Present financial options as part of the sale process.
Sales Execution: Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing and post-sale follow-up. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to meet company targets.
Sales Administration & Market Knowledge: Track sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using Salesforce. Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in industrial, mechanical, or technical sales
- Familiarity with project procurement and finance
- Understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or engineering concepts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling engineered solutions or capital equipment
- Existing network within industrial or manufacturing markets
- Knowledge of automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, or HVAC systems
