Mechanical Estimator

About the role

Hilton Mechanical is a growing mechanical contractor focusing on industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. The company offers a diverse range of hands-on work experiences and invests in employee training.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for industrial and commercial piping, HVAC, plumbing, and millwright scopes
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Prepare and submit complete, accurate cost estimates and bid proposals
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers and field staff to refine scope and pricing
• Maintain organized records of bids, costs, and historical data

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in mechanical, piping, or commercial/industrial construction
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with estimation software (takeoff and bidding platforms)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and millwright systems
• Strong math, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Able to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
