This position requires field-based supervision and installation and the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position.

About the role

You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S. and/or Canada/Europe. You’ll be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our new factory in Wallula, WA. You’ll own the site installation, testing, and commissioning of our production equipment and solutions, focusing on installation, commissioning, and running-in of major projects to ensure all equipment is supplied where required.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for project execution with respect to installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Provide onsite supervision of install crews of suppliers/contractors and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Apply project management experience to oversee site work.
  • Ensure all site work is done safely and in accordance with best practice site safety.
  • Maintain and archive all documentation and reporting following company directives and Group Technology rules.
  • Coordinate with other departments (environment, safety, MMR’s) to include necessary expertise in solutions.
  • Occasional travel inside and outside of North America for project execution, supplier visits, and coordination.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years working in a similar position, with site installation and machine construction.
  • 80% of time spent on project sites, requiring temporary relocation for 2+ years at a time for projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally.
  • Preference given to candidates with smith, mechanic, or other craftsman expertise.
