Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program Director
Job Summary
Graduate Program Directors are College of Innovation and Technology (CIT) faculty members appointed to serve as the primary point of contact for individual graduate programs and to serve as the initial advisor for students accepted into their program. The title will remain as Professor at 100% effort with an additional 0% appointment as program director (of Mechanical Engineering) the working title will denote this director appointment along with your professorial title.
Responsibilities
- Program Marketing and Recruitment
- Plan, initiate, and maintain contact with prospects
- Prepare content of promotional materials and maintain website
- Regularly attend and moderate webinars to prospective students
- Admission to Program
- Establish program capacity and manage enrollment
- Cook applications review and oversee admissions decisions
- Determine financial aid offers to candidates
- Advising and Problem Resolution
- Serve as the primary academic advisor for students
- Administer student requests for exemptions and waivers
- Perform graduation audits
- Scheduling and Curriculum Review
- Advise division directors on course demands and scheduling
- Revise and update catalog content including all curricular changes
- Program Assessment
- Submit annual assessment reports
- Facilitate academic program reviews and accreditation processes
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current CIT Tenure Track faculty member within the Engineering/Technology Division
