Overview of the Program
The Harris Products Group Electrical Engineering Development Program is an ideal entry point to the broad range of opportunities available throughout our organization. Completing this development program will help you gain in-depth knowledge of Harris Products Group's products, systems, and manufacturing processes. Through hands-on experience, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to product design, controls, testing, and electrical systems, you will apply and expand your technical knowledge in real-world engineering environments. This program provides meaningful opportunities to build upon your education, develop your problem-solving and engineering skills, and accelerate your career growth as an Electrical Engineer.
This position requires participation in our Immersion Day at our Cleveland, OH headquarters during one of your first few weeks. Lincoln Electric will provide and cover all travel arrangements and expenses. Our comprehensive training program will continue at the Mason, Ohio Harris Products Group headquarters.
What You'll Work On
- Assist in the design, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems, controls, and electronic components used in Harris Products Group products.
- Develop and implement electrical and automation solutions that improve product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical teams on product development projects, capital investments, and production support initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, Quality, Operations, and other departments to understand how engineering decisions impact business results.
- Apply Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies through formal training and hands-on projects focused on process optimization and problem-solving.
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering by June 2027
- Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- An engineering degree in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial, or Material Science
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Prior hands-on experience with machinery or equipment
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
