About the role
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Grove City College invites applications for one faculty position with a background in mechanical systems. The B.S.M.E. program is ABET-accredited and has an exceptional internship, job, and graduate school placement record. The program is growing and innovating—including a robotics minor with a new mechatronics teaching lab, a new Non-Destructive Testing Lab, year-long senior design projects with close industry ties, and a thriving student/faculty research program.
The department seeks applicants who support its commitment to academic excellence, undergraduate teaching and research, hands-on engineering design, and advising within the context of a college community that values liberal arts education, the life of the Christian mind, and service for the common good.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses primarily in the mechanical systems area, including laboratory courses
- Advise capstone design projects
- Carry on research and/or other scholarly work as time permits
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field awarded by August 2027
- Demonstrated proficiency in teaching undergraduates in both classroom and laboratory settings
- A strong, demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Statement of Faith and Christian mission and vision of Grove City College
