Mechanical Engineering Associate I (New Graduate)

About the role

CEMS Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join their growing mechanical design team. This role is ideal for a motivated new graduate with an interest in HVAC system design, sustainability, and professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and federal facilities.
• Perform heating/cooling load calculations and equipment selection.
• Affiliate with energy analysis and sustainable design documentation.
• Support commissioning activities and field coordination.
• Prepare construction documents and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• FE Exam passed or scheduled (EIT track strongly encouraged)
• Strong communication and technical writing skills

Qualifications

• Revit MEP experience
• Trane TRACE or Carrier HAP experience
• Interest in commissioning, LEED, or sustainable building design
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
