About the role
Design detailed parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment, and mechanical systems. Conduct research, develop layouts, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements cost-effectively.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced 3D CAD tools (NX/Unigraphics preferred) working alongside senior engineers
- Work on various aircraft systems across different platforms
- Support on-site activities including walking to flight lines, working in hangar environments, and boarding aircraft
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal skills
- Maintain knowledge of basic aircraft systems and MS Office
- Willingness to travel and obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 6+ years of experience without a degree
- Proficiency in CAD (NX/Unigraphics preferred, ProE, Catia)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
