For more information visit our website at www.kearfott.com Mechanical Engineering Analyst Overview The Mechanical Engineering Analyst is responsible for performing preliminary and detailed level analysis. These include structural, vibration & thermal analysis such that components, subassemblies and assemblies for Kearfott GND products meet internal and customer technical requirements. The Mechanical Engineering Analyst will work & interface with the other disciplines of the Engineering Department (Systems, Electrical, Test, Software) as well as Project Engineers, Program Managers, QA, Production and Supply Chain. Responsibilities Supports project team in the: Performance of FEA on complex electromechanical systems including thermal and stress analysisDocumentation of and recommendations from FEA results to support peer and customer reviewsPresent analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Managers at design reviewsSelection of materials with adequate structural margins of safety, optimal load paths, low weight, and high producibilityDevelopment of 3D and 2D mechanical components using SolidWorks CADDevelopment of 3D and 2D electromechanical assemblies using SolidWorks CADDevelopment of 3D and 2D electronic enclosures and electronics packagingConfiguration management in SolidWorks PDM environmentWorks with cross-functional engineering team to ensure mechanical requirements are fully understood and implemented Required Skills BS in Mechanical Engineering requiredRequires 4+ years of post-graduation experience in FEAStress and thermal analysis using FEA techniquesExperience using ANSYS for FEA strongly preferredAerospace – Defense background preferredProficiency in SolidWorks CAD and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of configuration management of engineering documentationKnowledge of GD&TFamiliarity with PDM document management environment preferredStrong communication abilities and interpersonal skillsTeam playerMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance All work to be performed on site in our Pine Brook, NJ facilities. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $113,000 - $136,000 Annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience level, and internal consistency.
