Mechanical Engineer (Teradyne, Agoura Hills, CA)

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation semiconductor test platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing scalable, high-performance electro-mechanical systems
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions
• Supporting new product development and platform evolution
• Developing mechanical designs for semiconductor test equipment
• Performing tradeoff analysis and supporting design decisions across product development phases
• Collaborating with suppliers to deliver cost-effective and scalable solutions

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Master’s with relevant experience)
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design and product development
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS and PDM systems
• Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design fundamentals
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to project execution
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Additional Strengths

• Ability to manage design tasks independently while contributing to larger programs
• Comfort working across design, manufacturing, and supplier interfaces
• Attention to detail and a structured approach to engineering work

Preferred Strengths

• Ability to work in semiconductor equipment or SEMI standards
• Experience supporting platform-level system designs or scalable architectures
