Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings (project size will vary based upon experience)
- Takes ownership of all aspects related to project
- Responsible for small proposals and presentations to clients
- Responsible for producing change orders in regards to out of scope work
- Establishes and maintains relationships with clients for the firm
- Project manager for mechanical and electrical projects (project size will vary based upon experience)
- Solves payment issues with clients
- Forecasts staffing needs for projects
- Plans and schedules project production coordinating with lead engineers
- Tracks and monitors budget, schedules and task lists
- Covers with internal team members such as engineers, admins, drafters
- Covers with external team members such as owners, architects, sub consultants
- Participates and/or leads meetings with clients/owners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university
- Prefer a minimum of seven (7) years building design experience in the MEP industry
- Registration as a Professional Engineer required and ability to obtain registration in Colorado
Qualifications
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and CAD, BlueBeam and REVIT software
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Works collaboratively with others
