Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Lead mechanical design projects from initial concept through construction completion.
  • Coordinate MEP disciplines with architectural and structural teams throughout project phases.
  • Oversee preparation of construction documents using Revit/BIM workflows.
  • Perform and support engineering calculations, equipment selection, and mechanical system sizing.
  • Review and coordinate mechanical system designs for various building types.
  • Manage construction administration activities including site visits, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain project communication and manage client expectations.
  • Support internal quality control processes and design reviews.
  • Apply applicable building codes and standards including FBC, NEC, and NFPA requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and support team development.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design.
  • Prior project management experience within MEP engineering projects.
  • Experience with mechanical system design and project coordination.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with Revit/BIM workflows for construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with commercial, multifamily residential, institutional, or mixed-use building projects.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation, quality inspections, and project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of applicable building codes and standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
