Mechanical Engineer - Product Configuration (Indefinite US Work Authorization Required)

Job Responsibilities

• Create and update product sales configurators and Bill of Material (BOMs).
• Cook with engineering release (ER) documentation.
• Partner with project leaders to understand scope, define configuration work, and support planning, schedules, and resource needs.
• Train and support team members executing configurator and BOM updates.
• Promote standardized best practices.
• Identify and implement enhancements to product configuration processes and supporting systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems.
• Oversee testing and release of configurator models.
• Communicate timelines, risks, and readiness for production builds.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of product development engineering experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP or a similar product data management system.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (0–5%).
• Ability to perform standard office-based work.

Preferred Qualification

• Familiarity with Crown’s product line.
