Mechanical Engineer - PE

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer - PE position is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This includes but is not limited to, the design of machinery, equipment, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing new mechanical systems and components
• Conducting tests on mechanical systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering

Requirements

• Professional Engineering (PE) license in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of materials science and its applications in mechanical engineering
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on mechanical design

Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
