About the role
The Mechanical Engineer - PE position is responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This includes but is not limited to, the design of machinery, equipment, and tools.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing new mechanical systems and components
- Conducting tests on mechanical systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering
Requirements
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in mechanical engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of materials science and its applications in mechanical engineering
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on mechanical design
Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
