Mechanical Engineer - Mid, Senior & Principal Levels

Responsibilities
A typical day may include working on a multi-discipline engineering team for major projects such as cooling water systems (pumps, motors, control systems, piping, heat exchangers) for existing or new power plants. Other responsibilities include:
- Leading simple design projects such as valve replacements or writing engineering reports (e.g., corrosion studies or equipment evaluations)
- Delivering high-quality engineering documents: Prepare accurate drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses that meet industry codes, standards, and regulations
- Adhering to standards: Develop engineering documents in alignment with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements
- Staying current with industry codes, standards, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques, particularly in the nuclear sector
- Committing to excellence: Produce engineering deliverables that meet stringent quality assurance standards and exceed client expectations
- Building lasting client relationships through clear communication and professional interactions
- Collaborating across disciplines to ensure integrated and comprehensive designs
- Traveling to plant sites for client meetings, on-site walkdowns, and evaluations of plant structures, systems, and components
Requirements
This position covers a range of internal levels. Minimum qualifications for our mid-level position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems
- Experience in one of the following industries highly preferred: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (including chemical or pulp & paper), and government (DOE) projects
- Good writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and effectively in teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post-graduate experience in a related role. Principal Engineers typically have 10 years of post-graduate experience in a related role.
Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
Pay
Compensation Range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
