Mechanical Engineer Level 2 (Mechanisms Design)

Responsibilities

  • Develop spacecraft motion control and actuation systems
  • Mechanical systems design including bearings, gears, motors, and rotating mechanisms
  • High reliability mechanical design and analysis for aerospace applications
  • Generate design documentation and vendor specifications
  • Support assembly and test including environmental testing, shock, vibration and thermal
  • Review test data and recommend changes to products and/or processes

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience designing moving mechanisms
  • Proficient with computer aided design and analysis tools (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
  • GD&T experience with drawings and assembly tolerance stack ups

Qualifications

  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in aerospace (preferred)
  • Experience with electronics packaging and wire harnessing (preferred)
  • Experience with moving mechanism design and analysis (preferred)

Base Pay Range

For CO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25
