Mechanical Engineer IV

About the role

The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with experience in equipment design from concept through production. This individual must be comfortable leading projects, possess strong communication skills, and have experience with new product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Be a key member in the design and development of equipment for the swimming pool industry
• Work with suppliers to meet project goals
• Create test plans and oversee qualification testing
• Submit engineering change orders
• Develop and analyze part designs using SolidWorks CAD software, FEA software, and physical prototypes
• Work on product sustaining initiatives to improve the performance and reliability of existing designs
• Work closely with the project and product management teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects with increasing levels of responsibility
• Advanced proficiency in mechanical design using SolidWorks CAD software
• Familiarity with electrical systems and electronic components (AC/DC power, motors, relays, controls, etc.)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, metal fabrication, and assembly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed to visit suppliers or field sites

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
