About the role
The Airborne Sensor RF Design Department is seeking talented engineers with the skills and passion to develop complex Radio Frequency (RF) systems, subsystems and components, including antennas, RF circuit card assemblies, radomes, and RF test-equipment. This is an entry-level Mechanical Engineer position for an individual with educational experience and professional interest in the application of technical mechanical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems
- Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs
- Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication
- Perform hands-on integration and test support for prototype hardware
- Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts
Requirements
- A Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience performing design and analysis for the packaging of RF products (e.g. Circuit Card Assemblies, antennas, radomes, RF test equipment, harnesses and interconnects) throughout the product life cycle to include three dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications
- Experience with 3D CAD design (preferably Creo Parametric)
- Experience in antenna and/or electronics packaging
- Experience with harness and interconnect design
- Experience creating engineering drawings
- Experience fabricating prototype designs
- Familiarity with the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-discipline team
- Experience performing tolerance analysis
- Self-motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
