Job Description: Afinitas is expanding and launching a new satellite technical office in Des Moines, Iowa, and we're looking for Mechanical Engineers at all experience levels to join our growing team. What You'll Do As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing support and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: Developing innovative machine and equipment conceptsCreating detailed designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentationPerforming engineering analysis and design calculationsDeveloping and maintaining bills of material (BOMs)Evaluating and implementing design improvementsCollaborating with manufacturing teams to support equipment builds and process improvementsWorking cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sourcing, and project management teamsUtilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools to develop customer-focused solutions What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience ranging from entry-level through senior engineering positionsStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processesExperience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platformsStrong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment Why Afinitas?
