Mechanical Engineer I/II

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer I/II in our Tampa office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations
• Determine system sizing and layouts
• Calculate equipment sizes
• Select equipment
• Complete field surveys
• Review equipment shop drawings
• Initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers
• Help lead mechanical project teams
• Write specifications
• Participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants
• Support construction-phase work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (or another engineering discipline) from an accredited program
• EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus
• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities
• Experience in designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities a plus
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred

• Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
• Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
• Effective working individually and within team environments

Skills

• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
