About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer I/II in our Tampa office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform load calculations
- Determine system sizing and layouts
- Calculate equipment sizes
- Select equipment
- Complete field surveys
- Review equipment shop drawings
- Initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers
- Help lead mechanical project teams
- Write specifications
- Participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants
- Support construction-phase work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (or another engineering discipline) from an accredited program
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus
- 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities
- Experience in designing piping/plumbing systems for healthcare, laboratory, industrial or institutional facilities a plus
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred

- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective working individually and within team environments
Skills
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
