Mechanical Engineer - E2

About the role

This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services.

Responsibilities

• Designs and completes modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter.
• Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
• Works in an aerospace environment, using 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software.
• Creates ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings and engineering change documentation.
• Uses Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for various tasks.
• Communicates and presents effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to special access requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software.
• Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation.
• Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Skills

• Experience working in an aerospace environment.
• Experience with Catia V5, Creo, SolidWorks or other 3D parametric modeling program.

• Full-Time Salary Range: $63400.00 - $117800.00
