About the role

The Mechanical Engineer/Designer will play a crucial role in developing and producing detailed drawings for manufacturing processes. The position requires a strong background in designing and detailing components for efficiency, accuracy, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce fabrication drawings, flat-patterns, layouts, and detail drawings for manufacturing.
  • Apply form, fit, and function principles to design components quickly and accurately.
  • Create complete drawing sets, including installation details and supplementary sub-component views.
  • Design efficient and manufacturable assemblies using input from various sources, including physical samples, sketches, and engineering standards.
  • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Microsoft Office tools or ERP systems.
  • Document and maintain engineering procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Ensure designs meet company drafting standards, industry regulations, and production requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with production, purchasing, and other internal departments to support manufacturing and project timelines.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of form, fit, and function principles.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Desired qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and materials.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
