Essential Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for mission critical and data center facilities, including:
- Cooling systems
- Chilled water systems
- CRAH/CRAC units
- Air distribution systems
- HEAT rejection systems
- Ventilation systems
- Plumbing systems supporting mission critical operations
- Prepare engineering calculations, load calculations, equipment selections, specifications, and construction documents
- Cookordinate designs with electrical, structural, architectural, technology, and commissioning teams
- Participate in design meetings, owner meetings, and multidisciplinary coordination reviews
- Support energy analysis, redundancy evaluations, and system reliability planning
- Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and contractor questions during construction
- Participate in site visits, commissioning activities, punch walks, and field investigations
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverable deadlines
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, as applicable
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure
- 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience preferred
- Experience with mission critical or data center mechanical systems preferred
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD preferred
- Familiarity with HVAC load calculation and energy modeling software preferred
- Understanding of applicable mechanical, energy, and building codes
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

- BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery

- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis
