Mechanical Engineer - Cranberry, PA

About the role

Support piping & HVAC layout, seismic interaction assessments, internal/external missile assessments, fuel handling and material handling equipment & tooling design, commodity clearance evaluations, flooding evaluations and other hazard protection designs.

Provide engineering support to design, fabrication, and construction organizations including responding to requests for information, identifying design changes, and addressing deviations by working with engineers in different departments and global work locations.

Responsibilities

• Work on teams that support the design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale nuclear and non-nuclear projects
• Perform physical arrangement of the nuclear island structures, equipment, piping, commodities, and support using 3D design software
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and criteria documents
• Perform hazards evaluations with 3D plant models and analysis software
• Help prepare reports to satisfy applicable regulatory, code, and customer contract requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Ability to work effectively both remotely and from customer sites
• Pursue Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and Professional Engineering licensure (PE)

Pay

Base salary range: $58,400 to $73,000 per year
