Mechanical Engineer -- Bellevue WA
About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Cities and Places team in Bellevue, Washington. You will be part of a design team responsible for building mechanical analysis and design for a variety of projects, including but not limited to, building mechanical analysis and design for educational facilities, healthcare facilities, data centers, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and planning studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform building mechanical analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world.
- Develop technical reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to pipe sizing calculations, pump selection, piping systems, chemical systems, HVAC Design, and hydraulic studies.
- Support pipe sizing calculations, pump selection, piping systems, chemical systems, HVAC Design, and hydraulic studies.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline design teams, senior project managers, and clients to develop innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain.
- 7-15 years of relevant professional experience for infrastructure and building-related design projects.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline team with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Construction support services experience.
- Experience with US building codes IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/62.2, IPC, IBC.
- Experience using building BIM drafting software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit).
- Practical, hands-on experience and/or construction support.
- Project Management Experience.
- Experience with alternate delivery (Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects).
- Experience in developing project level of efforts for building mechanical design.

- Ability to perform as a lead mechanical engineer.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
