Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Tooling Engineer to support the development and production of advanced aerospace hardware. This role will focus on designing, analyzing, and implementing custom tooling and equipment used for assembly, integration, and testing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, drawings, and GD&T documentation using NX CAD.
• Perform structural analysis using FEA and hand calculations.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to develop tooling solutions.
• Lead projects from concept through fabrication, testing, and implementation.
• Support production teams with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience using CAD software.
• Experience with 3D modeling, drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with FEA and structural analysis.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, or manufacturing equipment.
• NX CAD and Simcenter experience.
• Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of weldments, bolted structures, and material handling systems.
• Leverage Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
