Mechanical Engineer (Batteries)
Responsibilities
- Create and update mechanical designs and drawings
- Create and test prototypes for functionality
- Prepare reports and documentation for leadership
- Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacements
- Develop and maintain engineering change documentation
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on main and subsystems
- Assessment and testing to determine qualified configuration of main and subsystems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 3 years work experience
- US citizen with an active DoD security clearance at SECRET level, or ability to obtain
- Experience with equipment design principles
- Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical power systems
- Knowledge of Lithium-Ion batteries
- Knowledge of Navy Data Environment Ship Change Documents
- Familiarity with fire mitigation principles
- Familiarity with welding configuration
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on main and subsystems

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
The posted salary range is USD $78,900.00 - USD $108,500.00 /Yr.
