Mechanical Engineer

Vali has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing, developing, modifying, fabricating, assembling, estimating, and testing prototype assemblies for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and systems. These systems include mobile shelters, vans, antenna mounts, servo-control systems, power generation equipment, and vehicular configurations, as well as other complex mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete projects of relatively limited scope or portions of larger, more complex projects.
• Use Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software to develop 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and complete Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Technical Data Package (TDP) development and related issues.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on models and assemblies to validate design concepts, including structural integrity, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and overall safety.

Requirements

• Four-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering (or related field) from an accredited college or university (recognized by USDE or CHEA).
• Three years of relevant experience; additional education (MA/PhD) may substitute for up to one year of experience.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Physical Demands

• Nominal walking, standing, bending, and light lifting.
• Occasional climbing of ladders, towers, or stairs.
• Ability to travel using all means of transportation.
• Work environment includes offices, production shops, and areas near machinery or materials handling equipment.
• Required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate to the work area.
