Mechanical Engineer role supporting multiple regulated commercial buildings across the North of England and Scotland, focusing on steam boilers and associated mechanical plant within highly regulated environments.

About the role

The successful candidate will join a well-established team supporting critical building services across a long-term contract. This role will involve fault finding, planned maintenance, and reactive maintenance in controlled environments such as hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical sites, or food production facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support steam boilers and associated mechanical plant
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in regulated environments
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems

Requirements

  • Strong experience with steam boilers and mechanical plant
  • Commercial maintenance experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to fault find and perform maintenance tasks

Qualifications

  • Gas qualifications (desirable)
  • Pump experience (desirable)
  • NEBOSH qualification (desirable)
  • Experience within regulated or critical environments (desirable)

Benefits

  • On-call allowance (1 in 8 rota once fully staffed)

Pay

£42,000 - £45,000 per annum

Schedule

Full-time role with long-term contract (5 years remaining).
