Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Sky Climber manufactures, sells, and leases suspended access and hoisting solutions for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure markets worldwide. Our equipment helps customers work safely and efficiently at height.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and launch electromechanical systems, assemblies, and components
• Translate customer, regulatory, and business needs into safe, manufacturable designs
• Perform engineering analyses, including stress, fatigue, load, and performance calculations
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept and prototyping through validation and launch readiness
• Improve existing products using field data, warranty trends, customer feedback, and manufacturing input
• Drive cost, reliability, safety, usability, and manufacturability improvements
• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and suppliers to resolve issues and reduce lifecycle costs
• Create and maintain drawings, specifications, BOMs, test plans, and technical documentation

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design and testing experience
• Experience with electromechanical systems, SolidWorks, and FEA software
• Strong understanding of statics, mechanics of materials, machine design, and fatigue analysis
• Experience with GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
