Mechanical Engineer

Rand Precision Machining is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers a growth opportunity within a respected manufacturing company known for precision machining and high-quality products.

Job Duties

• Create and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance.
• Ensure components meet customer specifications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives.
• Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Assist in the transition of components to production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in defense-related manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with CNC machining is a plus.
• Prior Management Experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
