About the role

PROENERGY is an engineering, R&D, and manufacturing powerhouse addressing fast-start power generation needs. The company operates worldwide centers for aeroderivative excellence, investing over $1 billion through 2028 in infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Create deliverables for EPC projects including calculations, equipment specifications, and P&IDs.
  • Review third-party client designs, including equipment suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain piping system design guidelines and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain standard equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate multiple jobs, develop guidelines and procedures, and provide design oversight.
  • Work with in-house and third-party designers to route piping systems.
  • Quality check project 3D models and resolve client comments.
  • Improve customer satisfaction, quality of work product, and operating efficiencies.
  • Develop and review guidelines and procedures for design standardization and templating.
  • Stay updated with latest technology and industry practices.
  • Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications.
  • Check design for consistency, safety, operability, quality, and maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience writing equipment procurement specifications and reviewing vendor submittals.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD applications.
  • Basic understanding of design software.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
  • Effectively participate in team environments.
  • Support project teams and departments positively and productively.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with set expectations.
  • Independently apply knowledge and ensure compliance with quality programs.
  • Establish related processes and promote a culture conducive to quality.
  • Support continuous improvement and change initiatives.
  • Adapt to change and ambiguity; collaborative and systems thinker.
  • Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes.
  • Perform work safely and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification with intent to pursue a full Professional Engineers (PE) License.
  • Experience working on an EPC team.
  • Aconex Document Controls software knowledge.
  • General understanding of construction and constructability practices & principles.
  • Working knowledge of technical aspects of the proposal and estimate process.
