Who You Are
- At least 3+ years of experience in HVAC system design, analysis and engineering
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1-2 years
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, IMC, IECC, and relevant mechanical codes
- Experience preparing HVAC load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection
- Ability to read and develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents, and have experience with air distribution and hydronic piping design, and familiar with mechanical equipment (air handlers, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)
- Experience working with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Experience with HVAC design software such as Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and technical writing skills
What You’ll Do
- Develop HVAC system design and calculations for various buildings using approved software
- Select mechanical equipment and generate schedules
- Prepare HVAC drawings, including relevant detail sheets and schedules under supervision
- Assist with field surveys of HVAC equipment and systems
- Be responsible for Project CAD Coordination
- Maintain project documentation, including calculations, project filing, etc.

Starting Salary
Starting salary is between $85,000 – $100,000 based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants based on relevant years of experience.
