Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Assist with production control, measurement, and planning by performing the following duties.

• Develops and writes task analysis, cost analysis, and proposals for implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes.
• Selects or designs parts and tooling to meet customer specifications and expectations.
• Works hand-in-hand with line personnel to ensure newly developed parts and tooling are correctly installed and functioning properly.
• Works to re-engineer components until producing desired results.
• Confers with established personnel to implement standard operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
• Develops, plans, and models alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components, and recommends implementation of improved procedures, process improvements, and/or set-up reduction techniques.
• Confers with workers in other departments such as marketing, training and development, and engineering, to provide technical information.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing role or environment, such as an internship.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience with SAP (any module).
