About the role
Assist with production control, measurement, and planning by performing the following duties.
- Develops and writes task analysis, cost analysis, and proposals for implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes.
- Selects or designs parts and tooling to meet customer specifications and expectations.
- Works hand-in-hand with line personnel to ensure newly developed parts and tooling are correctly installed and functioning properly.
- Works to re-engineer components until producing desired results.
- Confers with established personnel to implement standard operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
- Develops, plans, and models alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components, and recommends implementation of improved procedures, process improvements, and/or set-up reduction techniques.
- Confers with workers in other departments such as marketing, training and development, and engineering, to provide technical information.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing role or environment, such as an internship.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with SAP (any module).
