Mechanical Engineer

Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform routine design changes and improvements to rotating equipment.
• Specifically, assignments or projects with axillary equipment including controllers, oilers, and electrical systems.
• Design robust and cost-effective improvements of assigned products with an emphasis on engineering, problem solving, customer needs, and situational climate.
• Create and publish technical documentation and manuals for equipment.
• Develop specific engineered solutions for customer projects.
• Write and edit technical manuals including coordinating with stakeholders to obtain appropriate documentation.
• Cost reduction leadership (interacts with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering) to reduce costs.
• Implement best practices for design, drafting, manufacturing, and sales.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering or design engineering role.
• Demonstrated skills in mechanical design with a knowledge of mechanical systems and principles.
• Experience with drafting software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of stress analysis and materials selection.
• A familiarity with a wide variety of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing methods.
• Understanding of streamlining engineering processes, implementing products, and process improvements.
• Ability to lift parts with or without assistance up to 30lbs.
