Mechanical Engineer

Perform technical analysis associated with the assigned task area for problems with specific objectives and requiring investigation of a limited number of variablesPerform duties under supervision of senior engineer(s) Perform technical analysis associated with torque, force, dimensional, mechanical, flow and other types of systems and instrumentation Support the development of technical procedures, instructions, reports and other documentationFollow, perform, record, and report on the results of the execution of a test planSolve problems with specific objectives and investigations of a limited number of variablesExercise judgment on task details and in making recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirementsWork in integrated product teams of diverse technical disciplinesDevelop and evaluate mechanical models using computer aided design softwareCreate technical data packages including drawingsSupport validation of mechanical systems specificationsSupport research and development activitiesOther duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or other relevant engineering or science discipline required Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area Capable of following, performing, and recording the results of the execution of a test plan Security: Must be a US citizenAbility to obtain a security clearance will be required Physical Requirements: Able to occasionally reach with hands and armsProlonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a deskAdhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness Resources Salary: The projected salary range for this position is $84,000 - $94,000 per year. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
