Mechanical Engineer

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key responsibilities include designing and developing mechanical and/or electromechanical products, conducting stress and structural testing, and supporting environmental stress screening and engineering development model builds.

• Designs and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products.
• Conducts stress, structural/dynamic, and thermal design testing and analysis.
• Supports the preparation, planning, setup, and execution of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Engineering Development Model (EDM) builds.
• Supports the preparation, planning, setup, and execution of other engineering tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience performing engineering testing in a laboratory environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain design issues and solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Three or more years of related professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Creo (ProEngineer).
• Experience with 3D Finite Element Analysis.
• Experience with 3D Printing.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for relocation to Manassas, VA.
• Must be able to start work immediately.

Benefits

We offer a competitive benefit package including a salary range of $95,000 - $140,000 per year, full-time employee status, 40 hours/week, and relocation assistance.
