Glint Tech Solutions is a women-owned, global IT staffing and recruiting firm serving enterprise clients across the USA and Canada. We are currently hiring on behalf of a leading defense contractor for a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer role in Pittsfield, MA (onsite).

About the Role

Join a cross-functional team supporting the Surface Ships Program for the U.S. Navy. This role involves taking mechanical systems from concept through testing, manufacturing, and shipboard installation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for shipboard systems
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
• Support prototype development, testing, manufacturing, and system integration
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
• Participate in equipment installation and validation on Navy surface ships
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies to improve engineering processes

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required (ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience, or Master's with 3+ years
• Experience using CAD software for mechanical models and engineering drawings
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication methods and technical, government, and industry standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
