About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer based in Denton, TX to drive innovative engineering solutions from concept development through final implementation. This role combines technical expertise with project leadership, challenging you to solve complex engineering problems, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver high-quality mechanical systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and analyze mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, DraftSight).
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings ensuring compliance with industry standards and GD&T principles.
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulation, and analysis to validate design performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Manage document control, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and technical specifications.
  • Act as a project lead for assigned tasks or small-to-medium scale engineering projects, defining scopes, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between production, supply chain, and external vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise to the production floor to resolve manufacturing issues, improve assembly processes, or troubleshoot prototype builds.
  • Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to refine requirements and drive design iterations based on feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience in mechanical design and/or project engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal oversight.
  • A "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset; comfortable switching between a design workstation, a project meeting, and the production floor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on practical, cost-effective, and scalable solutions.

Working Conditions

  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking, stooping, and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working or visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, including printers, tablets, and cell phones.
  • Moves, transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes or pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
  • May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
  • Domestic travel required approximately 80%.
