Mechanical Engineer

About the role

PPM Technologies Holdings LLC is a market-leading equipment manufacturer specializing in high-quality food processing, seasoning, conveying, and cooling technology for various segments of the food industry. This position involves designing customized large-scale food manufacturing equipment to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and customize large-scale food manufacturing equipment to customer specifications.
• Focus on coating drums, powder dispensing, and liquid spray equipment.
• Work with other engineers and project managers to ensure multiple pieces of equipment fit and work together.
• Test and quality-check designed equipment after construction.
• Perform application testing of new customers' products.
• Support the manufacturing organization.
• Provide technical support to customers, assisted by the service department.
• Travel to customer sites to assist with equipment startup.
• Aid other departments as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BSME diploma or equivalent degree.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Solid model CAD design.
• Good initiative, organization, and follow-through.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer skills proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Ability to be resourceful in finding solutions to overcome issues.
• Knowledge of food processing or related product lines and general machinery environment (a plus).
• Ability to work well in a team and independently make decisions.

Education and/or Experience

• BSME diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of previous experience.

Reasoning Abilities

• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequent sitting.

• Working Environment

  • Normal office environment.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
