Mechanical Engineer

In this role, you’ll lead the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members while ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
About the Role
With 4+ years of progressive technical experience, you will assist Project and Client Managers in aligning projects with clients' needs and budgets across private, public, and federal sectors. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, structural experts, and other disciplines to deliver innovative solutions for local and regional clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, for all mechanical engineering project work.
- Offer technical training and development to staff.
- Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the mechanical discipline.
- Serve as Engineer of Record.
- Provide on-the-spot technical and cost estimates, advice, and decisions.
- Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Act as the technical interface with code officials and contractors.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within six (6) months.
- 4+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects.
- Proven track record of technical oversight on multiple projects, ensuring contract specifications and technical standards are met on time and within budget.
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
