Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
- Designs are completed according to schedule
- Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards
- Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
- Develops innovative conceptual solutions
- Covers layout and design of equipment
- Performs design analysis for equipment
- Creates manufacturing drawings for equipment
- Creates and completes bills of material for equipment
- Evaluates and implements design changes
- Works with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
- Uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively
Qualifications
- 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree required
- Thorough understanding of: Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed Strength of materials and structural analysis Manufacturing processes
- Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities
- Attention to detail
- Works individually as well as in a team environment
- Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work
