Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Design and revise mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems/components using appropriate engineering tools and calculations.
  • Support custom truck builds by developing layouts, integration details, and configuration requirements based on customer orders.
  • Review customer requirements and specification sheets to determine feasibility of pavement marking and paint stripping truck builds.
  • Support Sales during the quotation process by providing technical input, feasibility assessments, and configuration guidance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support component selection.
  • Evaluate current product designs and recommend modifications to reduce malfunctions, improve safety, and increase production efficiency.
  • Provide manufacturing support by assisting production teams during fabrication and assembly to ensure compliance with engineering design and customer specifications.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with pavement marking including hydraulic systems and ASME tanks, is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of related experience in engineering design, BOM configuration, or manufacturing support.
  • Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD modeling and engineering systems, including AutoCAD, Creo, Windchill, and SAP.
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, including component selection and troubleshooting support.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet project timelines and deadlines.

About the Role

This position is responsible for designing and revising parts and systems used in pavement marking vehicles. The role will support build-to-order truck configurations based on customer requirements, develop bills of materials, interact with suppliers, and provide manufacturing support.
