Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH. This is a Contract to Hire position.

About the role

The majority of your time will be spent in the office, with frequent collaboration on the production floor during design changes or testing phases. The role offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to work on innovative products, particularly for military and defense applications. Responsibilities

• Design parts, drawings, and large assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analyses and simulations.
• Support the production floor with design changes or process improvements.
• Collaborate with the testing department to develop test protocols.
• Utilize ERP for data management related to products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.
• Knowledge of machine building, welding, or fabrication methods.
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant field; Co-ops and internships may count as experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD.
• Experience in mechanical design, particularly with metals, fabricated and welded machine parts.
• Understanding of GD&T and electromechanical design.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position. The majority of work hours will be spent in the office, with frequent visits to the production floor.
